LeiQaS - Scale-resolving numerical modeling of unsteady hydrodynamic effects in transverse
A Brief Description:
"LeiQaSim" is an industrial research project which aims to minimize vibration and noise emission regarding propellers used in bow-thrusters.
In this project, unsteady CFD simulation would be done by LeMoS, while other project partners will work on design, structural analysis, and experimental part.
This project involves the following working packages:
- Simulating the bow thruster with hybrid turbulence modeling and URANS.
- Considering the effect of the cavitation in the simulations.
- Implementing body force to mimic the effect of the protecting grid.
- Validation and verification of the CFD results.
- Development and validation of techniques to reduce noise and vibration.
