Profiling Toolkit für High Performance Computing
High performance computing (HPC, high performance computing) is a standard research tool in many scientific disciplines. The complexity of the HPC systems increases continuously in order to further increase the performance of the system. Most HPC users rely on their local Tier 3 data centers.
In order to raise awareness of the efficiency of their applications, users should be able to make any gains from performance-enhancing measures systematic, uniform and understandable.
The aim of this project is to develop a tool that is available to every HPC user. The tool is intended to collect metrics, to provide a short, clear summary of the performance of the application and to offer the possibility of identifying possible bottlenecks in the application via a browser-based user interface. The application is developed and tested on the respective HPC systems of the respective members of the project.
